A secret garden on Hampstead Heath

Hidden London is always there, if you walk a little bit off the beaten track. If you venture down Inverforth Close, west of Hampstead Heath and off North End Way, you will stumble upon an absolute gem- the Pergola, a stunning example of faded Edwardian glory.

This beautiful raised walkway, overgrown in some parts and set in lovely gardens, instantly transported us to the Tuscan countryside, or the setting of a Shakespearian romance. Great to take a picnic to, and if you fancy a drink afterwards, the Bull and Bush is 5 minutes walk away and has a very nice small sunny patio.

Nearest tube is Golders Green on the Northern Line.
